Meet your PCSOs
Community Surgeries
WE want your views.
That’s the message from Winsford Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs).
PCSOs Clair (correct) Hulse and Mark Watt are encouraging residents from all areas to go along to their Monday sessions at 17 Finsbury Walk to have their say on community issues.
The sessions take place every Monday from 2 4pm at the meeting point for Greenfield’s Residents’ Association and people from all parts of the town are invited to go along for an informal chat with the officers about life in their community.
Mark said: “These sessions are an ideal opportunity for people to pass on information about any issues which they may be concerned about in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
“People don’t even have to have any problems to take advantage of the weekly drop-ins. Residents are more than welcome to come along just to put a name and face to their local PCSOs.
“Having excellent relations in a community is vital for us and we are keen to meet anyone and everyone.”
PCSOs are an important part of the police family. They act as a vital link between members of the public and police teams.
They can help deal with issues such as anti-social behaviour, nuisance vehicle use, illegal parking, underage drinking a whole range of issues which can have a detrimental impact on the quality of life in an area.
The officers spend the majority of their time out on the beat and make a huge difference when it comes to public reassurance.
Clair said: “There are lots of ways we can help a community. I encourage people who are keen to find out more about what we do to come along to the Monday meetings. Everyone is welcome for whatever reason.”
Clair and Mark are just two of the PCSOs working alongside Winsford Community Action Team. The team can be contacted on 0845 458 6391. This is a message facility which allows callers to leave messages. All messages are checked regularly and returned where necessary.
