If you are a victim of crime, or a witness to a crime, please contact Northwich Police on 01606 48000. If it is an urgent matter, call 999. Explain clearly what the reason for your call is and where the incident is happening or has happened. If you see someone acting suspiciously call the Police. This can be behaviour such as looking into houses or cars, waiting outside schools, suspected drug dealing or drug activity in progress. Your call will be welcome and treated with confidentiality and respect.If you know of someone who is breaking the law or planning to commit a crime and you want to keep your identity secret, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. You are guaranteed anonymity and you may be entitled to a reward.
What kind of information can be reported to the Community Safety Partnership?
Any problem that you feel affects the safety of your community. This could include:
- Broken Street Lighting
- Dangerous parking or driving
- Youth nuisance
- Neighbour problems
- Abandoned motor vehicles
- Graffiti
- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Minor damage or trespass
- Suspicious incidents not in progress
- Fire risks
What happens to your information?
Your Information will be immediately categorised and collated under your area. If the matter can be dealt with by way of advice, you will receive a direct reply from the Community Watch Manager. If it requires input from one of the partner agencies, e.g. if it is a street lighting matter, you will receive a reply informing you that your problem has been directed to that agency and that you will receive a response within a specified time period. At all times you will be kept informed of developments. If your information requires Police attention it will be directed via the Community Action Team (see Community Action Team page). Your particular information may form part of a bigger picture and may be already being dealt with. Either way you will be kept informed.
