The Leadership Group is the body which oversees the working of the Community Safety Strategy. Membership of the Group consists of representatives from the Vale Royal Borough Council, Police, Fire Service, Cheshire County Council, Education, Probation, Youth Offending Team, Social Services, and the Central and East Cheshire Primary Care Trust.
Currently the chair of this Group is held by Cheshire's Deputy Chief Fire Officer - Chris Turnock.
The group meets on a quarterly basis to receive reports from of each of the project groups: Reducing Environmental Crime; Reducing Violent Behaviour; Reducing the Impact of Drugs and Alcohol; Reducing Repeat Victimisation; Reducing Criminal Damage; Promoting Reassurance.The group also has a responsibility for directing appropriate funds to the various initiatives being implemented by the various project groups.
